I first discovered VEX Robotics in 6th grade, driven by a passion for technology but with little support around me. Back then, I faced countless challenges, from struggling to understand my coach to working through endless trial and error just to get the basics right. The journey was tough, but with every mistake, I learned and grew stronger, pushing myself to improve.
After thousands of hours of errors, fixing, and revising, I had the honor of leading my team to victory at the VEX Robotics World Championship. This achievement didn’t come easy, but it taught me one valuable lesson: success in robotics isn’t just about building a great robot — it’s about having the right guidance, resources, and community support to help you grow.
Robocoaching was born from the idea that no competitor should have to face the same struggles me and other competitors and friends of mine years ago did. Our mission is to provide access to high-quality coaching, resources, and mentorship for teams and students around the world. By bringing together some of the best teams globally, Robocoaching allows seasoned competitors to share their knowledge and experiences with newcomers, helping them fast-track their growth in robotics and engineering.
Whether you’re a beginner just starting out or an experienced team aiming to refine your skills, Robocoaching is here to help. With our online coaching initiative, we aim to break down barriers and create a global community where the best minds in robotics come together to learn, teach, and succeed. – Luke Lu
